Directory policy
This page describes what the directory is, what it is not, and how it is operated. Listings in the directory are publisher claims; they are not audited, endorsed, or warranted by Vorion LLC.
What the directory is
- A public list of publisher-declared BASIS-conformant implementations.
- A cryptographically verifiable record (signed manifests, DNS-bound identities).
- A discoverability surface for the BASIS standard's ecosystem.
What the directory is not
- Not a marketplace. No commerce, no ratings, no trending.
- Not an audit. Vorion does not verify the correctness of claims.
- Not an endorsement. A listing implies nothing beyond "this publisher filed a manifest."
- Not a warranty. Use of any listed implementation is at your own risk.
Submission criteria
- Signed manifest in canonical JSON (see Submit).
- DNS-verified publisher identity.
- Reachable conformance test report URL with matching hash.
Takedown criteria
Listings are taken down for:
- Demonstrably malicious code.
- Trademark or copyright infringement (on notice).
- Legal demand in a jurisdiction where Vorion operates.
- Fraudulent conformance claim (claims unsupported by the test report).
Listings are not taken down for:
- Low quality.
- Disagreement with publisher's technical choices.
- Competitor complaints about legitimate submissions.
Takedown SLA
- Acknowledgment: 24 hours.
- Review: 5 business days.
- Decision published; original entry marked
FORMERLY_LISTEDrather than deleted. - Publisher receives notice.
Data handling
All submitted manifests are public. DNS TXT records used for verification are queried at submission and periodically re-verified. Vorion does not publish the email address of a complainant; complaint details may be summarized in takedown records.
Persistence
Vorion LLC operates this directory today. In the event Vorion dissolves or otherwise ceases operations, the directory's signed manifest history is committed to be published under an open license (Apache 2.0) to a public archive, so that verification of any historical listing remains possible. [This commitment is under counsel review and may be formalized further in v1.]
Relationship to AgentAnchor
AgentAnchor (A3I) is the certification authority for agents that want audited attestation with cryptographic provenance and ongoing governance. Listings in this self-certified directory are independent of AgentAnchor; self-certified entries are not A3I-certified, and A3I-certified entries may also choose to list here for broader ecosystem visibility.
